It is detuned, this combo can be milked for decades, just wait til a stocker engine builder digs into one of these things.

And he granny shifted it thru 3 gears and sounded to me like he skipped 4th and went right to 5th. .....Still , most of us at the starting line were amazed when he ran on the 10.00 dial with a 1.....Tom

Using the Wallace Calculator his 1/8 mile times (6.11/118) equate to a 9.66 ET at 139 MPH.......

Yes, using the AHFS formula for runs of 1.40 or more under, (3.25% x 425 HP); the stick CJs will get 14 HP effective 10/12/09. At 439 HP, their factor changes from 7.62 to 7.38 which restricts them to AA/S.

Hello, yes this is amazing. I know the man and the car. This car has not had a valve cover pulled. The Tremec 6 speed was changed to a G-force custom built 4 spd, McCloud clutch, a rear gear change and changing the suspension just a bit moving the weight around. Go to the major video posting site an you can see the car on the dyno making 620 hp. Type don fezell in the search bar and you will find the video. These cars were approved by NHRA for A/S so that is was we have been running. The problem is the car keeps getting quicker and quicker and the cage that came in the car from Ford/Roush is only good till 10.00. NHRA said no lower dial than that. So now trying to get some good seat time in the car to learn the cars feel. 5,000 launch run it as hard as can and hope to get on the brakes as hard as can at the end to make the next round. Will be adding more bars to the factory cage this winter, and most likely be in AA/S. Will see what happens with NHRA and these cars for next year with the rule changes.
