Angry question about your local gas prices

here in louisville area we are monopolized by marathon they sell ALL the wholesale gas. when your fuel prices go up how much do they raise ???

here we see .40 -.50 cent swings overnite for NO APPARENT reason, usually followed by a week - 10 days of .02 - .03 cent decreases until ... shazamm up .050 again overnite

just curious if you guys get screwed the same, more or less....

captain jack

im about ready to ride my scooter to work !!

Private label, a couple still right under 3 bucks or just over, major brands 3.10 - 3 18 or so. I don't remember any big swings, but it varies by station owner.

Dont get me started..that whole G-damn industry is as corrupt as the year is long.
Gas should be $2.00 gal. or less and they'd STILL make a killing.

Just gassed up about an hour ago out here on Long Island. Paid $3.54.9 a gallon of regular at Sunoco which has the cheapest prices. From what I have read and heard second hand is that Sunoco does not purchase overseas crude which allows them to be a few cents cheaper. Otherwise regular gas varies about 5 to 7 cents a gallon upwards depending on brand and location. DIESEL AS OF TODAY $ 4.059 A GALLON. And everything can change in another 8 hours.

Here in Bridgeport, CT; private label is $3.59 - $3.65, and name brands are $3.67 - $3.80. Prices have remained steady for the last couple of weeks after decreasing about 10 cents a gallon after Christmas.

Sunoco DOES NOT refine a drop of there own gas. They do not own a refinery. They sold all there refinery's a couple of years ago. Actually the company Sunoco does not exist anymore ....it is just a label. Sunoco Logistics (pipeline& terminals) owns the Marcus Hook refinery that is now just storage for butane and other LPG's.
