I'll be there. My best side for the photo is passenger side. I had a little encounter with a guard rail a few years ago. I hope to get it fixed "someday". Who else is coming to enjoy the "Heatwave" Divisional event? The forecast shows 98 F as the high.

Too hot for me.
That's why I moved out of Miami 20 yrs. ago. Couldn't take the heat. Hottest dragstrip I've ever been to; Blaney, SC for the annual Div. 2 points meets.

Too hot for me too Bobby. I'll have to hit Immokalee (1200 miles R/T) or Palm Beach next year to avoid having to run both Jackson and Darlington in July/August. Hopefully, it will be better at the Rock in four weeks. You're right about Blaney. And, that was in June.

Myron, did that back in the day. In 1973 my daily driver was a 66 Corvair Cvt that I bought from Div 2 Stock standout and good friend Bill Robinson for $100. Going into Labor Day weekend, I knew the only way I could win NHRA Division 2 again was to win the eliminator at the last race (Gainesville) and set both ends of a different class record. So, I flat towed the coupe to Indy and when I returned I swapped drivetrains out in the street. I flat towed the Cvt to Gainesville, set both ends of the Y/S record (now W/S) but did not win the race. I lost the 73 Championship to Bobby Zlatkin by 100 points (1 round win).
