Class Numbers Indy, Question

As the rest of the nation is dry, I sit here watching it flood us. 3.91 inches yesterday, looking about that today with lightning, so I thought I would count cars. So far before the switching, changing, etc., looks like 15 available for FS/S (don't know how many actuall), A/SA 18 (good race), E/SA 7 (good race), 25 SS/AH Cudas & Darts, always a good race, 10 in G/SA (always fun). Not a scientific study. Full field in each class even if all the AH cars go home after class which leads to another question that can only be answered by the high level of education, knowledge, and general racing experience possessed by the members of this forum. Should the AH guys be asked to declare they are going home and taken off the final paring and a ladder then prepared, or should they just not show and pull up alternates as they don't show. Changes the ladder a bit. More as the numbers come in.

The last national event i went to Jeff i told the powers to be that i would not be running eliminator because we broke and they left me on the ladder anyways. Unless we brake there will be at least one SS/AH car in eliminator if we qualify. Chuck

Not sure why Chris hasn't posted this already, having excel import issues myself but you get the point....LOTS of great class action for Thursday...and the AH cars should declare if they aren't running the eliminator, seems like a common courtesy thing to me...the usual disclaimer relative to guys having one car on their entry and actually teching in with something else entirely.

It looks like 21 in B/SA. I think all cars with carbs and pre 2008 cars will not be in A/SA unless they will not figure B/SA!!

If the new cars run B/SA we are all dead fish in a barrel.

Jeff, due to my lack of high level of education, knowledge, and general racing experience, I always let NHRA staff know that I will not be in the eliminator. FYI anyone that has any of those three things above would not have a Hemi car.Ha!

After our Chootout at Belle Rose this Spring, which I ramrodded by default, I polled the AH guys and gave the results to the tower. This was to eliminate a lot of the bye runs at the Cajuns. I would think this would be more important at Indy since there is a cut line. As I pass out pralines and cigars to the teams, will be glad to ask. This is one Indy not to miss with us antique-ers and the new Super Car's. Stephen
