Question Re: Two things that really pisses me off about todays stock elimintor

Maybe I'm missing something here, but what would be different about an Open Class A/SA and a non open Class A/SA? If you still have Heads up? Please elaborate? ( If they found a way to eleminate Heads Up's and turn our racing into all out Bracket racing, why would we still do it, or build cars to conform our cars to any rules? We could build 12 inch tire 500 CI, Power Glide (LEAVES LIKE A SLUG) Cement mixers and call them stockers and build them for an 1/4 of the price. Just wondering. We have all been bitching about tearing down cars to start to perserve some rules and our cars. Now guys are going to complain it cuts into Beer time?????

Barry,
The best thing to do is lobby for "open" classes at national events. By that I mean, you can run in A/SA in an open category (still with the same rules) but then you would have to put a dial on the car in a race with another non-open A/SA car in the eliminator. Everything else would be the same. Open A/SA cars would run each other as heads up in the eliminator. Yeah, you could get farther up the sheet in open classes and have more fun but nhra isn't going to add any classes so I just wasted a paragraph of your time. Sorry.

Richard,
I appreciate your sense of fair play. Thanks.
