On a side note........I just saw a feature on a Super Stock car ( a traditional Super Stock car too.) in national dragster and his tunnel was composite and didnt have any carpet on it...........and I didnt hear anyone say a thing............hmmmmmmm......

Actually it's better to be safe than sorry, there's no harm in asking some questions now, and some people here are just trying to help you out so you don't get the shaft later on...and I hope you will reconsider and post a few photos of the Chevy II you're building...maybe get some of inside the trunk to satisfy those that asked, and some exterior & interior shots of it as a roller before you put the power train back into the car and paint it.
