Joseph, if you could buy the car, as is, with a three-speed, I would have no problem.

If the car came, as is, with a two-speed only, sorry, that's what your stuck with.

NHRA gave in, in S/S, a few years ago and allowed cars that came with only a two-speed automatic, to run a three-speed; also allowed cars that had three speed manuals only, to now run a four speed stick (wasn't in favor of either--you knew going in what you could/couldn't have).

Who knows...in a few years, maybe Stock will be that way too. "Any corporate transmission is accepted".
