Stacker Tires
 

Almost all the stacker trailers have Goodyear Model 614 235/85/16 G rated (14 ply) tires which have been know to blow out at any time. I have made arrangements with Superior Tire which is about 3 or 4 miles from No Problem to have some of these in stock should the need arise. If for some reason, they cannot have any for the race, I have a couple of new tires I will bring to help someone if they need it. The track knows how to get in touch with me if I am not there when you get there. Jeff

just a tip in case anyone didn't know- make sure your stacker has the REAL brass or steel valve stems. most blown tires of that type are caused by losing the rubber valve stem-not usually the tires fault. only takes about halfa mile to lose the tire with no air on trailers that heavy.

Looks like Goodyear has mostly back orders on those tires. There are 10 being shipped to Paincortville (Surburb of No Problem), but they might not make it this week. I am trying for other brands at this time.

Another item about stacker tires. Yes Jeff, we had trouble with our G rated tires, but found that with the stiff sidewalls and two HEAVY superstock Pontiacs, we found that trying to turn the tri-axle trailer too sharp was responsible for tearing up the tires.

Taking wide turns and not whipping the trailer too quickly increased tire life significantly. Those tires with 110llbs of air and 14plys have no give. Just like the girl I dated in High School for about 2 weeks.
