Fox body mustang rear spring?

Wondering what most guys are using for a rear coil spring in a fox body mustang stocker with a 30x9 radial?

Moroso or Laurel Mountain.

My 85 is a carbed stick car, with bias ply slicks, but I am just using factory V8 GT rear springs, with Air Lift bags inside.I tried the Morosos, but they seemed too weak, at least with the stick. .

I have eibach drag launch with an air bag in the right rear. They work well but will only fit a 28 in tire

I ran stock, uncut GT rear springs in mine.

Re: Fox body mustang rear spring?

Lotsa people using stock v8 rear springs with an air bag. FOMOCO brand not aftermarket replacements. Cut one coil out to set the ride height if you want it a little lower and you are all set.

Good shocks is the key, the factory GT springs work. AFCO double adj. No air bags.

I use the 1988 GT/Hatch progressive spring. Generally get about 4 years out of them before they get weak thats running it at 3400 lbs, and will knock the rear bumper off if it didnt have wheelie bars.
