Ihra stock car classification guide
Can someone tell me where I can view a stock car classification guide for IHRA. I'm planning on running a new car (85 Camaro) at the Crandall pro-am. As I don't have a 305 engine at this time I was planning on putting a 71 350/270 in it to run in the stock gt class. My problem is I don't know what power to weight factor to use. The Nhra book doesn't list a 85 Camaro with a 350/270. I don't know whether to use the factor for my Nova (11.36) or what to use. HELP!

Re: Ihra stock car classification guide
They do in MOST cases. Some HP factors are different (minor rating difference in most cases) so the shipping wt/class factor has to be re-calculated when running a combo as a natural NHRA style class car. When building a GT or Crate Motored combo you just use the shipping wts (same/same) to figure the class. The shipping wt never changes more than a couple of pounds no matter the HP factor. Just be sure to use the small block shipping wt for a small block combo and the big block shipping wt for a big block combo.

Re: Ihra stock car classification guide
With the 350/270 you will be in GT/D . @ 11.00 to 11.99 lbs per Hp. When i ran that class the minimum weight was 11 x 270 plus 170 = 3170 , not sure if you can get your car that light. Mike
