Re: New HP Numbers Posted
So no matter what model car they all get HP ?
|
Re: New HP Numbers Posted
You will have to look at the Classification sheets to see where the changes are actually applied. The announcements documents can be confusing.

How did the small cam 305 85-86 Get 4HP, and the big cam combo stay the same?
I missed some fast runs ?? |
Re: New HP Numbers Posted
Wish NHRA would publish the data base averages like they used to so that decisions can be better understood.

Re: New HP Numbers Posted
What I don't understand is that an engine family like the 302, 1967 to 1969 are all the same HP, yet just the 1969 350/300 got HP, why not all the other years?

Re: New HP Numbers Posted
Same as the 302 with casting numbers, they are different, but I don't think I can use a '67's. It's still all in the family.

Re: New HP Numbers Posted
Is the crank pin smaller on the 67 302, so does that make three different engines

Re: New HP Numbers Posted
67 302 is a small journal and 68/9 are large journals, so they are different but considered same engine family with same hp.
I guess the 67/8 are considered 295 HP. |
Re: New HP Numbers Posted

Re: New HP Numbers Posted
If a 54 year old combination is getting hp we don’t have a hp problem we have an index problem across the board . There have been a lot of advancements in stock and ss since the last index adjustments. We cant just simply keep adding weight to combo’s.
