Perfect. Just what's needed. 6 lb cars with parachutes against 14 second cars. Hey you in that FWD car: Better not commit the mortal sin of deep- staging. We'll throw yer a** right outta here! |
Re: Will The 2008 CJ Stick Remain In Stock?
Stock needs no weight break lower than 7.0. We're already getting well beyond the level at which the safety margin for the equipment in Stock has become to small.
A 6.5 pound class in Stock Eliminator would be about like some of the "outlaw" stuff, they wreck too many cars and tear up too much stuff, if that is what you want to do, then go and do it. The factory cars need an FX class, and the equipment that goes with it, such as a 10.5" tire rule, and the safety equipment rules that go with the speeds and elapsed times. I'd say the 8.5 second ET safety rules should be adequate. |

Re: Will The 2008 CJ Stick Remain In Stock?
So lets say they do follow the book and make it SS only... does it go back to the SS factor of 425? or does it keep it 469 factor? SS factor is still listed at 425 but that wouldn't make much sense to me it it has 469 in stock trim....does the GT factor then change as well?

Re: Will The 2008 CJ Stick Remain In Stock?
Help me out here.
Is the "D" Dart the only car to actually get factored out of Stock? If so, what if they allowed the Dart to move back into stock, since AA/SA didn't exist when it was ruled out? All the safety concerns are a waste of breath, you drive everyday with 80,000 pound rigs on the highway, with 2" lap and shoulder belts and no roll bar in your daily driver. Plus, 40 years of technology have made cars alot faster, heck, a current V6 Mustang has 300 HP. Times change, and either you adapt or you become extinct. Even Mr Jeff learned to use a new fangled computer. :) See you at the races, Wayne Kerr |

Mr Tech man,
You are correct. I am an Idiot and am not worthy of even posting on this subject. You are and forever will be the one and only authority on NHRA S/SS racing. I apologize for even having you put forth the effort to type a reply. I will make it my lifelong journey to be able to carry your lunchbox one day. See you at the races, Wayne Kerr |
