Any of you guys out there have a method of removing vinyl graphics from the side of a race car without messing up the paint job?

use a heat gun, pull slowly, if your lucky the glue will come off with it. if not use something like oops, degreaser, 3M adhishive remover, or thinners, just be carefull if ya use the thinners. not too hard, i always get the woman to take 'em off, she has good nails....

At Home Depot they have some stuff called goo be gone that works ok. Biggest problem is getting it to stay on the side of the car to soak in. I use a rag soaked in the stuff and hold it on for awhile first.

Acrysol works really good for removing the glue after the decals are peeled off and won't harm the paint.. You can get it in a aerosol spray or in a quart can. It's availabale at most paint and body supply stores.

My name is Lee... The Doughboy I manage a auto body shop for over 20 years
The best way is to use a hair dryer to warm up the decals if you get them too hot the decal will seperate from the glue and leave all the glue on the car.Peel the corner back to the center
If any glue is left over use 3m adhesive remover and a plastic razor blade. You can get them at Lowes or Home cheapo.... You have to be careful with thinner it will soften the paint and will damage it.
If you have any question you can contact me on here

Snap-On makes an air tool called the Crud Thug - It has a round wheel (replaceable) on it that is the consistency of an eraser. I have cleaned off decals, stripes etc. from my race car, trailer, truck etc. It works great for me.
