We all like the chance to race in front of a crowd and be part of the “Show”. US 131 Motorsports Park has included the Great Lakes Stock-Super/Stock Association as part of the Show at its “Funny Car Nationals” this coming weekend September 10-11. In addition, there will be a GLSSA Racer BBQ Friday Night at 5:30 sponsored by JRP Racing Engines.
This race we will be part of the big show with Pro Mods, Funny cars, TS, TD, Outlaw N/T cars and Jr dragsters. We set this race up with two-day one race format to see how our racers like it. We have two qualifying runs Friday evening, a JRP sponsored racer cookout Friday evening, one more qualifying run Saturday morning followed by eliminations. If you don't want to run Friday you don't have to, come Saturday morning and get one run before eliminations start. As Dan states, the winner was Mike Warren (V/SA) over Bobby Lundholm (G/SA) in the final, close to 3 AM if I recall. Congrats to both drivers!
