This sounds pretty neat, is it a full tree, pro tree or something else?
Is there a waterbox for a burnout? Southern New England needs something like this, wish I knew it was going on. Congrats Matt, sounds like you are the guy to beat! |

Its a full tree and its about 90% steet cars with a few big motor cars here and there. i think the most powerfull one was a 69 blown nova but it couldnt hook up but the fastest was a chalenger that was doing 2.4s this time but was doing 2.1s last time. now mind you gary i was driving my mothers 2000 Cav bc A. it needs to be a street legal car and B. my cars packed away so this is just to keep me from going crazy for now. the guy that owns the speedbowl wont let them do standing burnouts in fear of tearing up the already tore up track, go figure. they also cant spay the track bc the owner doesnt want them too. so a car like my mothers is perfect bc it doesnt spin to much and its pretty consistant. its very interesting cutting a light and womping 20 ft after you have left lol. thanks again to everyone, im not sure when they are holding the next one, my guess is not till maybe Feb or Mar idk. i think they are starting to not like me showing up with my mothers car lol

Good job, Matt!
Just remember that in the Spring come 1/4 mi. racing - NO DUMPING AT THE 99.5 ft. mark!! On second thought, you can do that if you are in the lane next to me!! Tom & I went to watch this "event" as Frank, Jean, & Matt have talked about NOTHING else for the last few weeks! ALL street legal cars, Gary. Frank said a few race cars showed and were turned away. Looked like tons of fun for when your race equipment is winterized and you have already started gnawing at the bit!! Think I'll get my street car ready for the next one. Tom is already trying to figure out how to put a delay box in his G6 for the handicapped races. George - all you need is about a 400 ft. strip of asphalt/concrete. No water was used but that may be due to the fact it was on a straightaway at Waterford Speed Bowl! They used an old (and I mean OLD) timing system but it worked like it was supposed to. Frank introduced us to the gentlemen who were responsible for putting this together. They really want to do more of them and have some places in mind. We suggested the old airport at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford. Think of all the possible places in your own area!! This could turn out to be as great as the Bracket Tree Nationals that Mike Kent puts on every Jan.!!! Are we really that sick that we look for things like this until racing season starts again?!? OK - I've never put this many words in 1 post!! Starting to sound like you, Jason O. I'm going to sign off now and give my 2 typing fingers a break!!!
