“Live” from Topeka double divisional
500 more miles and we will be there! We left this morning from NRC in Middlebury, IN at 4:30 central time! So we have already been on the road for 3 and a half hours! Now I hope we get to enter when we get there! I tried to enter online last night when our plans changed and we decided to go but it said online was closed and you could enter at the track! So we are on our way! According to the schedule, they started stacking yesterday and begin parking at 1 today. So we will see you there!

We got to the track about 6:30 Monday and were #33 in line. Like Larry and Patsy sat down to enter when we got here and found online entry closed. I entered Houston outside the track the night before with no problem. Sure wish This would be consistently done. Mike McMahan 25 H/SA

Basically confirmed, the reason for opening up gate entry was the pre-entries were lower than they expected. Which is not surprising to me given the economic state of affairs and COVID situation. Also of note, face coverings are required at the event per Kansas/NHRA. See y'all soon!

Austin, If they would in the original registration allow for refunds they would get more pre entry’s. I don’t remember seeing anywhere that pre registration was going to close. Maybe I just missed it. I entered Houston the night before the race and just thought I could do the same thing here.

For what its worth, this pre-entry deal with a deadline will be the norm sooner rather than later from what I am told. It is easier for the tracks/NHRA to plan the schedule and have all tech cards in before the event begins. I do not see this going away.

Facebook post from Unk
To all of our racing family that will be attending the Topeka double header this weekend, please read. I realize that not everyone is on the same page regarding the virus and masks, but we DO all agree on the enjoyment of being able to race. Topeka is the Capital of Kansas, and I'm pretty certain there will be folks amongst us from numerous governmental agencies watching how we interact with each other. Also, keep in mind... HOW WE DO AT TOPEKA THIS WEEKEND COULD AND WILL HAVE VERY SIGNIFICANT EFFECT ON NHRA NATIONAL EVENT NEXT MONTH!

Re: “Live” from Topeka double divisional
NHRA has enough of my money in entry fees, not their fault.
When tracks say no refunds on pre entry it makes me want to keep my money in my pocket. In our business if money needs to.be refunded, it's refunded. It does not become a default donation to some museum unless requested otherwise. So until this political stuff get straight I will enter at the gate. Entry at the gate was easy it took all of five minutes, not the time and frustration it takes to do it on line, and we did not have to pay a handling fee. In this age of technology what happens to our tech card information. Maybe someone can show us how to reuse previous information so we don't spend hours trying to get it accepted. For me give me extended tech do it once and it's good for the year. According to the fine print we are responsible for our entry complying with the rules Austin is correct not all people use Facebook. |

Re: “Live” from Topeka double divisional
Also about Nhra National event credit.
If you don’t use it in 1 year Nhra keeps it what bs So enter an event and withdraw... And no refunds at divisionals is totally bs. Money grab

The no refund policy makes local s/ss groups look so much more attractive.

Stop with the bitching about everything and making things up too bitch about. States right in the add about re-funds.
Do your resaerch instead of making things up In the event that you need a refund, they will be handled onsite or by contacting Travis at travis.hilton@heartlandpark.com. |
