Class Act!
Racing this last weekend at Wildhorse Pass my car wouldn't start in the staging lanes second round of Stock. I was paired up with Jon Irving in his wagon. After trying to push out of the way and running out of time to do anything about it, Jon sent his son over with a UTV and cables to jump my car. It started and I got to make my pass against Jon, which I lost.
Jon and his family are a class act in my opinion. Thanks Gentlemen, Kelly Lane |

Certainly used to be anyway. It was only partially about the chance to win, collect a Wally and get a few bucks. It was also about the opportunity to participate in a challenging contest, based on smarts and hard work. And as John says, you didn't want to win at the other guy's expense. Even in today's incredibly f**ked-up world, character never goes out of style. Hats off to you, John. |

Re: Class Act!
I've heard some cases where NHRA would not allow jump starting a car in stock. Glad it worked out for you.
