I have found a 2006 2500 series Suburban I really like and the price is right, but there are no towing package options on this vehicle......besides a hitch, special rear end gear ratio and transmission cooler, what else would it take to make this a reliable vehicle a tow vehicle???? What would you guys want to add ???? Any opinions out there ????

Heavy duty tires---New brakes---HD shocks and the largest trans cooler you can find that will fit ---also might bypass the radiator and just cool the trans by way of the trans cooler---Comp 387

Aditionally the factory tow packages include an engine oil cooler. The radiator may be a larger core for the tow package and the wiring harness for the trailer may be tucked uo around the frame. That's about all you get with a factory tow package beside the axle ratio and posi-traction.
