Not available on 1968 year models. Sold as a ZL2 regular production option on SS models with 350-300hp, 396-325,350 & 375hp engines, and Z28 optioned cars. It was a required option on the COPO package.

There are at least 3 documented 1969 Camaros built in December of 1968 with factory installed cowl hoods, first two Gibb ZL1's,delivered on 12/31/68 and a Z/28 ,which belongs to a friend, built the 3rd week of December. But agreed, not generally available until January.

My 69 Z28 was built in sept. of 68 and it has a flat hood.
Being a early 69 car also has the narrow rear spoiler from 68. |

My 69 Z was built early and had a flat hood.
It also didn't have the side collision bars in the doors when we went to take some weight out of it. All I have left of it is the carb & memories...

Well, I had 3 different procedures done Tuesday week and one of the surgeries took 3 hours longer than it was supposed to.. They screwed me up with the knockout drugs. Night and day is not working with my body clock yet... Humm, seems like you know about that clock, too. What are you doing up at 4:30? LoL! We have some pretty good memories, I think, don't we?
