I have switched out the old MC of the 67 Cuda and installed the new mopar style MC. I have also removed the stock proportion valve and replace it with the Willwood adjustable prop valve. I plan on using the Hurst Roll Control line lock.
Now here is my question, can I use all four ports on the line lock without any problems? I really do not want to add another device to split the front brakes Last edited by David Lee; 08-30-2017 at 08:15 PM. Reason: spelling errors |

Not sure what your up to here. Put a tee in one port and send that to each front. Make sense?

That line lock serves as the T, so you don't need that in your settup. What is confusing is the prop valve with all those extra ports. It looks like a combination valve - part distribution block and part prop valve. More than you need for the strip. Mine is a Wilwood too but only has two ports, one in from the MC and one out to the rear brakes. My suggestion is get a simple two port prop valve. The one you have will make installation complicated.

I also am not sure what you are up to. You can not use any kind of line lock on the rear brakes. You can use a proportioning valve for the rear brakes.

There is really no need for the porportioning valve. I just came from the MC to the line lock then a line to each front brake. Simple and works perfect. I have Aerospace brakes on my car. Stops great and no problems holding in the burn out

That prop valve only has 1 outlet for the rear brakes. The installation instructions did not show how to plumb it with a LL. Since the LL has 2 ports 1 for each front brake, that is how it should be plumbed. Only use 1 of the FO ports from the prop valve to the LL and plug the other FO port. This will provide the same pressure to the LL and the LL to both front brakes. As long as the prop valve has a path for fluid, it will function the same with 1 FO or both FO ports in use.
Otherwise call Wilwood and ask for a sketch on how to plumb using their product with a LL. I agree with Mike, prop valves are overrated and most of the time adjusted open to the point they do not provide any function. Sean

If the rear brakes are drum type then you better have a proportioning valve. What you have in the pic is a combination valve and serves as both a prop valve and metering block. Good for front disc rear drum set up, otherwise I wouldn't use it.

BTW I had that Hurst LL and it didn't last. The Biondo unit I have now is industrial strength compared to anything on the market.
