ok this is for the 2 or 3 guys that have ran a 1970 AMX, i've heard the hood-scoop is too low and really not effective, my question is should i just use as big a air cleaner as i can fit under the hood and treat it like there is no scoop, or should i go ahead and try to seal the carb to the scoop. i'm kinda hoping someone has tested this and is willing to share there experience.
Thank you Patrick Ford |

Having owned and raced several 70's ,I can tell you it does have some benefit.
Anytime you can have outside air over engine compartment temp ,you take it . use the air cleaner base only , without the seal

Never did an a-b but, the buttometer says sealed. Boundary air is cooler
than underhood air. The AMX scoop is higher than the S/C360 scoop. Ron. |
