Live from E-Town
We made the 4 hour trip getting here at 3:30 and there's 7 lines of rigs waiting to get in. They've just started parking NHRA sportsman racing is alive and strong.

Re: Live from E-Town
As I said we got here yesterday around 3:30 and there where a lot of rigs already here. We got parked and set up but I'm telling you its HOT(generator going to run for 4 days this weekend I HOPE). We get a late start here no engines can run until 10. I do have some good news, the IHRA points have been up dated and we where fortunate enough to hold on to the HR point lead. Looks like we'll be heading to Memphis in October. Here's a few travel photos.
Everyone can recognize the Chesapeake Bay Bridge This is the bridge over the Delaware canal Power plant, I believe being built near Delaware Memorial bridge. |

Re: Live from E-Town
Thanks Marty, Rob stop by when you get here. We'll yesterday was another hot one as you probably know and my time runs weren't trouble free. On my first run the car was missing and popping. I changed the plugs and went thru the valve and carb not finding any problem and the second run was fine running 10.910 (its to hot to be working on cars). It looks like there's about 50 or so S/St cars here and probably about the same in the other .09 classes. We get one time run and go into eliminations today.

Re: Live from E-Town
We'll any aspirations of being #1 are over. I completely stunk up the finish line once again. I'm glad this ride is over Ricks still in good luck buddy. On to Memphis.

Re: Live from E-Town
Saw that guy changing a convertor, or possibly a trans, over in the 400 lot. Not the nicest nor smoothest place to work. That was on Friday.
Yeah Tom, I saved my neighbors rear slick when I found a long wood screw right behind his car. Where the heck wood screws and nails come from in the main pit parking area is beyond me! I can see them in the 400 lot since there are a lot of pallets over there and they tend to fall apart. Even by the fence by the airport where the stuff from the 1/8 mile lot gets blown to. There are a lot of pallets around the food stand area also for food and soda deliveries. It is unfortunate when it happens. Heck, I put a ROCK of all things though a brand new slick at US13 a few years ago, never thought that would be possible! |
