Default Las Vegas Full for Stock

Hi all,

I just noticed that NHRA has put a quota for 70 cars in stock and it is full....

This is a class race for Stock and with that quota number we could have 1/2 a car in each class.......

It seems NHRA wants to run a very tight program with only 70 cars and have very little heads-up racing.......

Since it is full, with 4 weeks to go, will the NHRA increase the quota ?????????

The balls in their court (as usual),

Bob

No! Absolutely not. No quota changes whatsoever this year.
(Except for Factory Stock)

It could be some indication that Super Comp has been full for over three weeks, and that hasn't been increased yet.

Only to get more factory stock shoot out cars. NHRA does not want the sportsman to cause delays in the TV coverage. One of my buddies contacted NHRA headquarters and was told that they would not raise the quota in SS at the gators just for that reason and that the quotas are set by the division director in the home division. With fuel being quite a bit less expensive this year more are traveling and racing more. more competition for less spots.
