Default Need info engine guys

sbc super stock, going from 50mm roller to 55mm babbitt cam brgs. Purchased durabond GMP-55T coated brgs but they have 3 oil holes. Just makes me think more excessive oil leak. Anyone make them with 1 or 2 holes? Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated. Thanks, Pete

Pete, you are correct; the 3 hole bearing will cause an oil hemorrhage.

Chris Straub of Straub Technologies has the appropriate 55mm bearings with a single hole.

I had those cam bearings built and Chris is a vendor for those cam bearings. What block are you going to use them in ?

using casting # 184 bowtie with 2.282 tunnel bore. I do not know why companies put 3 holes in them .

Richards Maskins told me he had to come up with a cam bearing that was child proof and that fits the bill.

I had those cam bearings build with one hole and a groove and on the Dart blocks one hole lines up with the hole in the block and another hole can be drilled 3:30 to 4:00

If that a priority oiling block the 3 center cam bearing line up with oil hole in the journal.

On the front and rear you can clock them appox. 10:00 with the block up side down.

Good luck with those bearings and questions feel free to give me a call 207-892-7215
