Looking for a source of Corvette clutch linkage parts for my '78 Camaro.
Got the fork and push rod a while back but don't remember where(65+)!!! Having a bit of an issue with geometry. Terry K |

Is the length of the Corvette clutch cross shaft(Z bar) the same length as a Camaro one; considering all being the same year?

No. Using the Corvette fork with tubular rods with Heim joints in the ends makes for good linkage.

Thanks Dwight. Would you have a picture of your set up?

Assuming you have the Corvette fork that looks like this:
![]() You have to cut material away from the end to make the slot wide enough for a 3/8" Heim joint to slide in so you can put a pin through the holes in the fork and the joint. You should be able to figure out how to make your stuff fit from there. Here's a picture I found on the internet that shows some linkage rods with Heim ends. ![]() Rather than mess with the steel pieces and welding a stuff, the last setup I made used 5/8" x .125" wall aluminum tube. Much easier. Cut to length and thread the inside (you will need right and left hand 3/8-24 taps). Works good.

They seem a little pricey. But by the time you buy the lt. and rt. taps it might all work out. Ive been running this for a few years with out any issues. Very easy when it come to making adjustments.
Hope this helps. Steve ![]() ![]() http://cmc.speeddirect.com/itemdesc....05-125&eq=&Tp=
