For Stock Eliminator Does the NHRA allow automatics in the 1985 Mercury Capri with carbureted 302? Or can only be run with a standard transmission? Thanks in advance

Like Bob said, they are stick only as long as you are using the 4 barrel carbed 5.0 HO engine. You could get a Mustang or Capri with a 5.0L engine and automatic transmission in 1985, but it used a CFI throttle body fuel injection setup. 1986 Mustangs look almost the same as 85, and you can use an automatic or a stick, as Ford used the same engine either way, but they were all EFI by then.
