Default Anybody use a "US Cargo" trailer?

I am looking at buying a used 24 foot enclosed trailer, and one I am looking for is a "US Cargo", which is made by the Forest River group. I have been unable to find much out about this brand, other than their website. Just trying to find out if they are a decent trailer, or one of the lower end cheapies. It does have the 5200 lb torsion axles, and LOOKs fairly nice. Also, this trailer, and another Wells Cargo I am looking at both have some fairly large advertising stickers on the trailers outer skin. Is there much chance of removing these stickers without damaging the finish of the panels underneath. What about the glue residue?

I have seen a few around. They look to be a lower end trailer. Most I have seen are bare plywood inside. The 5200 lb axle is good on a 24 ft trailer. If the exterior is at all faded the graphics will leave a shadow when removed. They come off pretty easy with a heat gun then some solvent to remove the sticky that's left over. If the trailer is in good shape and priced right I would not be afraid of it

H…I got a call from the owner of the W.C. last night, he will negotiate based on what you are talking about. As Mike mentioned some solvent or gasoline will work on the glue. I think you will be further ahead once it's all cleaned up. Maybe trade your birthday present for a trailer detail. Call me…T.F.C.

I've had good results with Rapid Remover.

Good luck.

Rory,, I've had my 24ft Wells for 11 years now and have never regretted it. I'm thinking you should grab that one up there, load the Mustang and come down to Bremerton for the combo at the National Open this weekend. Theres usually room by us along the return road for another rig. Good luck whichever way you go.

I bought a new Wells Cargo in 2011 after some research. It is medium priced and seems well made, with Dexter torflex axles and a 2x6 box tubing frame. I have added small D rings to the inside side walls for hauling stuff inside it, and I can tell you that the steel framing members are tough to drill. It is entirely a different trailer from the US Cargo, about which I have no information.

I bought my US Cargo 24' trailer back in 1995 and sold it in 2011...best trailer I've ever owned.
