Steed & Simmons Vega

Doing some research & writing an article about the early S/G cars & was wondering if any of you veterans know what became of the old blue Steed & Simmons Vega or David Simmons. He ran S/G (big block) & S/ST (small block) with it & it was out of GA in the mid 1980's. It was at the Gators a few times also. GOOD CAR!! I beleive he went on later to race a dragster. Would really appreciate any info or feedback. Thanks alot!

David's blue vega is alive and well still winning races with Casey Sims driving. He races at Union County Dragway in SC. That car is still one bad ride!
