How are you guys out there that are using Schubek/Smith Machine limited travel lifters adjusting your rocker arms. We were told to adjust to zero lash which we do but, my question is are you giving the rocker an extra 1/4 turn, 1/2 turn etc after zero lash is achieved. Or when zero lash is achieved do you stop there with no extra turn?

Regarding adjustment for shubeck hydraulic lifters in a small block Chevy, I was taught by the best , Woodro Josey. Zero lash and you want a small amount of drag on the pushrod. Please take your time and do this correctly or the outcome may be catastrophic. M.J.

I adjust Zero lash and make sure that I can only turn the pushrods with quite a fair
amount of drag Some of them have 015 travel and some have 030.....Terrible quality control. If they get loose the puck sometimes fall out and destroys the engine! Check lash often a look for any bending pushrods increasing lash before disaster strikes! Your results of course may vary.
