Re: Mopars at the Strip - coverage ??
Jesse Sanderson won the Stock/SS Combo Race Sunday. Don't know who R/U was, but Nick Ariotti was in the semi's with his Volare.
Sanderson's blue Dart was a project my Grandfather started way back when. The plan had been to build an F/SA 360 combo, but it stalled and we never completed it. Car had a sunroof in it when it left our shop and sold to Dusty Hirsch in ND (I think?). The Sanderson family finished the car and it seems to be doing pretty well...that's two MATS victories in a row for Jesse and the Dart!

Re: Mopars at the Strip - coverage ??
Earl Blake was in the finals with Jesse. Yes, we acquired the car from Dusty. We couldn't live with the after market sun roof...it had to go, sorry Jared! But Harry really did a nice job on the work he put into it. We are now running it with a low compression 340 motor, and the car is working pretty good. We are slowly getting there, but happy with the car and the good Karma from your Grandfather. The Sandersons had some Vegas luck on our side with my son, Jesse, winning the S/SS class and my younger brother, Jason, winning the Dash for the Cash in his '67 GTX with a 10.460 on a 10.46 dial, which paid $1500. Not bad!

Jared, close! I live in SD (Rapid City) I sold the car before I moved to Albuquerque NM, but have since moved back. Good job with the car Mr. Sanderson! I was watching the tower cam on Sat afternoon I believe it was but didn't see you run. Jared I did see you run I believe it was the Har-Cuda. It looked like you had your hands full!!

Funny..." way back when" Harry tried to sell me that Dart. Told me I could be the first event winner with a sunroof...
