Default Indy points race

The weather is not looking good for the finish of the Indy points race. 50% chance of rain on Saturday and 40% on Sunday. We should of finished on Monday. It was a nice day and everyone was already there. I heard Jay wanted to finish but got talked out of it. This time of year with rain always a possibility you need to take advantage of a good forecast.

I agree Greg, we were already there and set up, let's race! Monday was nice and sunny, 70 degrees. I guess we will have to take our chances again this weekend, see you there.

40% must be from the Weather Channel

Accuweather says 85%

Weekend weather outlook was great at this time last week. Maybe they'll get it backwards again. Even Saturday morning they missed the rain arrival time by more than six hours. It is what it is. That being said, I'd rather see them use whatever time we have on Saturday to get through whatever we can. 450+ cars is still a lot to get through in one day with any downtime.

Wow. They're usually the optimistic ones!

Greg,
What about us folks that have to work? Unfortunately, we can't control Mother Nature but rescheduling for a weekend is much better for the ones that have to work!

But Nick, most of us are old retired guys. I heard that Jay said we would get done this time no matter how long we had to stay. Tuesday looks like the first good day. All I'm saying is that this time of year at Indy you need to take advantage of a good forecast. You should be working now instead of being on class racer .lol

I agree with Michael 100%. If it is not raining on Saturday we need to get as many rounds in as possible. I think getting 450 cars finished on Sunday alone even in good weather will be a challenge. Any chance they will change the schedule with the weather forecast?

Greg I understand that many are retired, but most our not. Would your son have missed class to run monday? NHRA needs to think about the future of thier sport. The ones that are working hard to make extra money to do this. Moving it to the next weekend was the right move. Cant always controll the weather.

I wonder how many racers drove from 2 states away and now have to make the long and expensive drive again? I'm lucky and only live 2 hours away, I'm sure some have 6 to 8 hours or more to drive. I guess it's all part of racing!

Hoping for sunshine this weekend!!
