I am wondering what you do on a FWD car to change the final drive ratio. On a rear wheel drive you change the rear gears - what can you do on a FWD? Don't some have chain - can you change the sprockets?

You can put together a 3.73 final with factory parts. ... Don't know about Ford and Chrysler.

The Chrysler 3sp autos had several different FD ratios and transfer gear sets to mix and match. Also some aftermarket transfer gear sets were made.
