Default Measuring lift on a solid lifter style camshaft

Just a question, how does a Tech Inspector measure the valve lift on a stocker, with a solid lift camshaft. Is it basically the same as the way they check a hydraulic lifter style camshaft ?

Thanks

At the valve, with a dial indicator on the retainer, with 0.0" lash.

They pound a razor blade between the spring and the retainer and use a dial indicator on the blade to check lift. Tom
