When were the 3 point roll bars outlawed in NHRA competition.?? Wondering if anyone has old NHRA rulebooks that can verify the first year they were mandated & for what class/ speed/ times, etc... Also what was the last year they were legal in any NHRA sanctioned events??.
Lakewood Industries made a bolt in bar back in the 70's. It was finished in bright red paint. Any others?? liteweight |

i used the three point roll bar from your dart untill 2003 in the behemoth. i also have customers with nostalgia cars that run low eleven high tens with three point bars in there cars now. i dont think they are outlawed yet. if i remember correctly you only need a roll bar from 11.49 and quicker.

Since Lakewoods been around since the 60's, did Competition Engineering or S&W race cars ever offer one of those 3 point roll bars from the 80's or any other companies from back then...
