Strange street gear, don't waste money on the race gear. Bought axles, spool, cover and gears from Summit.

No, I used the weld on 9" Torino big bearing ends and pressed the bearings onto the axles. Those c-clip elim kits looked a little too Mickey Mouse for my liking. But I know guys that use them in 12 bolt GM SS rides with a trans brake, so who knows...............

Alex, Does anyone make a ratio between a 5.13 and a 5.71?

I have used 5.13 gears for a Ford 8.8 from both Moser and Motive. I wish "Pro" gears were available for a 8.8, but I am not aware of any, I have broken 2 sets of the 5.13s in my stick car, the 4.88s I currently have in the car seem to hold up much better than the 5.13s do. With an automatic, the 5.13s should last a good long time. I am not aware of any ratio between the 5.13s and 5.71s Mark.
As for the C Clip eliminators, I have had the same set of Moser 31 spline axles and C Clip eliminators on my 85 Mustang for 10 years now, no leaks or any other problems.

I have moser c clip eliminators in my car too. Been in about 8 years. 33 spline gun drilled moser axles. I run Richmond Street gears as well.
I don't recall seeing anything lower than 5.13 for an 8.8 either.
