when i first went to a Jesel belt drive, i tried to use the damper i had been using. it was a real 302 Z-28 8" dia x 1 5/8" wide with the fins inside the hub. there was some sort of interference [it has been a while so i do not remember what hit what]. i ended up using a stock 8" dia 1 1/4" wide. i am ready to buy a real race damper. i have these questions. 1. who makes an 8" damper 2 who makes an 8" that is not 350+$ ? 3. will a wide damper [wider than 1 1/4"] fit with a Jesel? thanks rod in AZ |

If you're racing, there's no better damper than the ATI Super Damper.
You do not necessarily need an 8" damper, the ATI is extremely effective, even the very small diameter versions. It's the most thoroughly tested and developed damper on the market. You don't always get what you pay for. But you rarely ever get what you DON'T pay for.
