Live from Richmond , VA - NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Yeah - yeah , I know - where have you been ? Well , gang - here's the thing , its finally here - the NHRA Division One opener in Richmond ,VA .But it comes with strings , we wanted another points meet and we wanted Richmond back in the NHRA fold so now its about the long hike here . Yes , I'm aware that to some of you this this kind of ride is no big deal but to us in D1 its quite a ride -- can you tell we're spoiled ? ?
Test n tune is going on as I type - I'll dig up some dirt and get back ...........

Ouch -- Earlier today during the tent n tune a few broke - Jim Boudreau in his "Goldigger" 69 Camaro B/SA dropped a valve and headed home .Mark Markow with his sharp SS/ Truck broke a lash cap but was able to contain the damage and made the necessary repairs so he can continue onto eliminations .
Test n tune is finished for the day ....... For those of you needing fuel - Chubby's @ RT460 & I-85 has the best prices - and their cash or credit .

thought I found a gift today, found diesel @ $ 4.21 in So. Cal.!
that means $14 dollar savings for 40 gallons with the comparable prices, most spend more than that on a lunch??

Re: Live from Richmond , VA - NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Wow, I was kind of questioning with the R Crap coming in tomorrow evening if they would get the whole race in tomorrow but, with that car count I think they should be able to do it. I know S/G will prob be a very light field also as most of us are heading to Bucks Memorial tomorrow. Did they rule out the 3rd qualifying shot tomorrow yet?

Re: Live from Richmond , VA - NHRA Lucas Oil Series
Both Stock and S/S got their first shot at the track this morning - not as fast as it looked but the track was killer .J.Wayne Totaro let the pack this morning with a fine -.997 under .
Air readings at that time were - 66 degrees w/ 61 % humidity , barometer 29.75, .39 Vapor Pressure - adj . alt . -- almost 1200 feet . NOTE -- I've been told because of the bad weather rolling in tomorrow there is a strong likelyhood that there will not be any time trials in the morning -and we'l start eliminations at 9 am . New entries can still come in but will be put on the bottom of the ladder .
