Default Fuel pressure

What should I set the fuel pressure at for a carter wcfb. It is on a 327 250HP pure stock.

We run a 4gc Rochester 4.5 works OK probably no more than 7...Thanx Trevor

I run 10.5 lbs. on the wcfb to keep the fuel level up after launch.

Steve is right, but it depends on what's done to your carb ?
How pure is Pure Stock ?

The only thing I have done to it was a rebuild,removed the metering rods and different jets.

What else did you do to the rebuild ? Bigger needle & seats, replace gaskets, check surface straightness, etc ? That's why I asked about what you can do to Pure Stock rules.. There is a big diifference between a rebuild & a race carb from a good builder ? You should see if a local racer has tricked out Race WCFB carb you can try ... I know you will see a big difference , there's alot of inturnal works that you can't see from the outside ? Check-around , I am sure there are some Stock & S/S guys that can help you in your local area... Alot depends on the car & how hard it leaves, Stick or Auto ??
