What intake head flow at 0.425 lift would one expect from a properly prepared legal stocker 197 casting pontiac head. Engine is 455/335 hp combo with all the normal stocker stuff.
I understand that peak flow is not the wole equation but I assume you need a certain amount of peak flow to develop a certain amount of peak hp. PM me if you do not wish to post. All information would be much appreciated. Scott Underhill. |

My heads flowed 230 cfm at 28" max lift. On the dyno I made a peak power of 470 hp at 5250.
Just wondering if my head flow is holding the peak power back? |

Torque curve is fairly flat, 510ft-lbs at 4500 to 470 ft-lbs at peak power. Converter stall speed is 4500.
