A look inside My Shop.
Still winter here in Minnesota, How would everybody like to share photo's of their garage, shop or storage area. Love to look at what people have done to their shops to make them function better. Interested in lighting and heat source, shelving and work bench designs. I have a garage 24 wide X 54 deep for 30 years and has been through many changes. I would like Heat source ideas. The best position for the overhead lights. I have gone from open ceiling to suspended ceilings to currently a knotty pine T/G ceiling in the section the race car and hoist are in. I had a new smaller shop built on the east side of my property 24 X24 w 10 wall. Ideas on how to finsh it off and improve the 24 x 54. I have not put the lighting back up where the race car sits. The back side of the 54' is divided 12 x 24 with small hanging electric heater and air compressor reside. I use it for an engine room. Just getting ready to start working in the shop again after a few down years. I am very lucky to have what I have, and I want to pick myself up again, and go back to working in the shop. Thanks for looking, and hope there are some photo's of the shops we can share.

Re: A look inside My Shop.
I would but it would upset you,Jim.
Its 70 and sunny with a light breeze. I will be looking for cooling ideas here before too long. These 100-110 degree days are rough. My shop is 40x45x14 and there are 6 cars and tons of stuff in it. We were at a local steel recycling yard when Home Depot brought in a pile of the green and orange shelving units like they put the riding mowers on. About 5 foot wide and 12 foot high.We got a few and they didnt last long.My neighbor has them run down one side of his shop.

Ever change out you central heat air condition, inside. The fan makes a great breeze and you don't have to build a frame for it.....

Jim did you plumb for floor heat when you built the new one? From what I have seen that is the best way to go for heat. The tubes for in the floor are pretty reasonable. If I ever get to build mine it will definitely have the floor heating in.
