In 1966 I think that the 427/390 Bel Air was 4 speed or turbo hydro trans only ----1966 Corvette 427/390 Powerglide was available--- Almost positive----Comp 387

FED 387 is correct. However, that dosen't necessarly mean that's how NHRA sees it.
For example, 1968 big car (Impala) with 275/327 came with a Turbo 400 but NHRA only recognizes that combo with a 2 speed. At least that was the case a few yearsa ago.

But, 66 Bel Aire, wouldn't you be better off with a 3 speed?

Danny, the 425HP would be 4-speed only but the 390HP was available with an automatic.

Yeah, I think it is snowing or raining just about everywhere. Weekend looking good ( 50's & 60's Fri ,Sat, & Sun ) if not too much wet stuff in the next day or two.
