Default 305 head gaskets

What head gaskets would you sugest for a 0.030" over 305, I dont want to run the stock 0.041" thick gaskets I want to be around 0.026- 0.020" thick compressed. The only ones I can find are from GM performance, just wondering if anyone else has a line or a lead on some different brands I could look into.

Thank you before hand. Cam

Anyone else have a source other than GM perf as cometic does not carry anything under a 4.100" bore gasket. The 305's require somewhere in the 3.800" range bore on the gasket, if I go too big I am going to loose comp. and sealing capabilities and maybe the chance of heat soaking the spark plug cooling jackets.

We have ordered the 305 Cometic gaskets several times with the small bore.

Yes, Cometic makes all sizes. Most don't stock the small b ore stuff, but they make any size. We have 283 stuff made. Here are the thicknesses. If you need a contact at Cometic, let me know. Jim

Just ordered a pair 2 weeks ago for the camaro. It took about 5 day to get. You give them the bore and thickness and they custom make them. They were about 90 dollars a gasket but they reuseable. Call them they will take care of you.
