I recently acquired a crane roller camshaft no. R-2118/427-25-8. Can anyone identify or decode these numbers for me? I'm especially interested in the valve lash specs. Thanks to all.

thanks; I may have misread the number tho': I think it's R-278/427-2s-8. Am I correct in thinking that the duration is 278 @.050?. Also, thanks for the correction on the "S". We have this cam in a super pro front engine dragster which has run a best of 5.89 in the eighth; upgraded to a 383 with the same cam and the car still runs 6.0"s. The engine has early chevrolet heads, 2.20 intakes and 1.60 exhausts; pocket ported only. Carb is a Holley 750 double pumper. Any advice will be appreciated.
