Racers,
What are my front strut choices for a 1990 Firebird Super Stock combination? What are some of you running? Thanks

Larry,
What are the rules? You have some choices. Some legal in NHRA some not. Does this Stick organization have a website with rules listed? Another reason I ask about rules is Troy Zimmerman was in the shop and he has bought a stick shift Chevy11. He may want to run with you guys. He bought it just because he likes sticks. I've got his phone number, but no e-mail for him. I should see him next week when he picks up his parts. I have Strange on my car.

Adger,
It needs to be an OE looking, bolt in place. Externally adjustable is fine. Mine is built like a Super Stocker or older Modified chassis. Mini-tubs, long ladder bar, Koni rear coil overs. I custom built the sub-frame to allow a 31 x 13 tire.

I think Troy said his car was more like an older Super Stock / Modified car. Had a stock front end and firewall with a 4 link rear. Big tires & wheel tubs. I'm sure he said it was a 4 speed 377 cu in w/ GM bowtie Alum heads, single 4-750. The strange struts I have on my car bolt in and look stock. There are some very nice camber adjuster available for the top mount. I'm not too sure they are legal for NHRA classes. The spring rate is what I had issues with on my little V-6. When I get to the shop on Monday I'll PM his phone # to you. He might be one more player with you guys. You should remember Troy..(from our old Hallsville days) He lives down the street from the Hallsville track & worked there, on the line, for years. Started back in the 80's when he was just a kid.
