'Old School' Literature
I have a loose-leaf "Chevrolet Special Equipment" catalog. The cover is orange with a stopwatch with a blue center and the Bowtie logo. The pages are green like the illustration pages in the old GM Parts Dept. counter catalogs. This has a 'revised date' on page 1 of 3/9/72. Info contained covers part#'s, chassis set-up's, power tips, Corvette 'glass body parts for road racing, Can-Am engines, etc. I believe this publication is the original 'Chevy Power' catalog. It's been kept in a binder and now it's in a zip-lock baggie. It's 55 pages and I'd guess it's about 8.5-9 on a scale of 10.
GMPP catalog with no date that I can see. Black cover with a Monte Carlo SS, a road race Fiero, V-6 race engine, and TPI intake etc. 9+ condition. Listings for Chev, Buick, Pontiac, and Olds. 2nd Edition 'Chevy Power' (1976) small stain on corner of cover, otherwise a '9'. 4th Edition 'Chevy Power'. Not sure of date of issue, but there's an illustration of a front air dam for 76-78 Chevettes on a back page. My opinion only, but that turd belongs in the 'Lack of Chevy Power' catalog. I'd guess condition to be 8.5-9 GMPP catalog with '93 on the cover. (a '9') 1973 AHRA rulebook/tech manual. Garlits, Dyno Don Kendig Pinto, Candies&Hughes FC on cover. 9-9.5 NHRA rulebooks: '72,'74,'75,'78,'79,'80,'83,'84,'86-'92,'95-'01,'04 estimates of condition are my best guess; I'm not an expert. If interested, make an offer on any or all. I'll mail them. I haven't joined the digital age yet but if you need pics, I'll see what I can do. 541-548-1976 |
