Default 69 camaro roll bar

I'm replacing the "D" bar in my 69 camaro coupe.
Because of poor welding by previous builder.
The NHRA rule book reads That .125 plate top and bottom of floor bolted with 4 3/8 bolts is acceptable. Then in a another paragraph it reads " must" be welded to sub frame connector.
what repair would pass tech?
Any help would be great!

You are mis interperting the statement about frame connectors. ...On a unit body car ,frame connectors are not considered a frame rail, therefore it is not required to weld the rollbar to it [altho it's a real good idea to do so] . ...If you weld the floor plates to the floor and rocker sill area completly, you do not need to put a bottom plate or bolts thru the floor ...........Tom
