Whats the best way to get the original look back to the unpolished ones?

Re: Refurbishing Supertricks!
This is how I did mine.
Take an old axle & bolt the wheel to it. Chuck it up in a lathe(put some good gloves on) & spinning it slowly take 180 grit emery cloth & give it that original brushed look.Watch your fingers throughout all this. As for the bolts on the outer edge of the Supertricks you will probably have to remove them & do this part by hand to get them real nice throughout. Use surgical gloves for this to keep the black out of your hands. Once you are happy with the finish(& it takes quite a bit of elbow grease) spray the wheels with a nice coat of satin clear coat. This helps with the oxidation & also keeps the finger prints off. I did my "Flys" like that & they look fabulous. |
