Anybody use the 30x9 Hoosier Radial 18210C07

Do you use the Hoosier on an 8" or 10" wheel?

Does anybody use the Mickey Thompson 3054 on an 8" wheel ? If so, how well do you hook and what is your suspension? 60' times?

I use the Hoosier 18212 C06 lightweight radials on 10" rims @ 20.5 lbs.

I know a guy that runs the 30x9 Hoosier radial and he says they are the quickest tire he has run and he does hook good too

I dont know how a radial will work when you leave at 5,000-5,500rpm on a transbrake so im thinking about a Mickey Thompson ET Drag or a Goodyear slick

Also, i have an 8" wheel

Radials tend to be faster but are more sensitive to different race car combos and track conditions. It wouldn't hurt to contact the manufacturers to see what they would recommend for such a combo. Some do have specific tires & recommendations for 4 speeds, which may have similar requirements as a transbrake equipped car. But I never ran either one.

You do need a stable sidewall and be able to run as much air pressure as possible (while still maintaining a solid footprint). A wider rim would help regardless of tire design used..

We use that tire on a heavy SS (3720 lbs) and hit them with 6800 stall and 6:87 gears....no problem until temperatures go over 95, then we switch to a bias. A few tracks and start line guys will allow over 95, but iffy. We run 20, and have run 24 at cooler temps

Faster as they get older (lighter) and the most air pressure you can get by with

What do you run, the 30x9 Hoosier radial? Do you know the part # on your tires?

What bias ply do you go to? Part #?

How high do you leave off the transbrake?

Hoosier 18210CO7 on an 8" rim. Acording to Hoosier be careful with a radial on too wide of a rim due to the sidewall already being plenty stiff. Although I know plenty of stockers do this (10" rim w/ 9" tire), but I doubt it is as necessary as with a bias tire. I have been as quick as 1.36 in the 60'. My car is deadly, but I can't lie that maybe 1 or 2 passes out of an entire season it will blow the tires off on a real hot track or track with marginal track prep.

on the floor all the time, i.e. 6800 (depending on weather it varies from 6500 to 7100)

we tried Goodyear, MT, Firestone, Hoosier bias, all about the same, slow but dependable hook at marginal traction
