Default Trailer Storage

What, if anything do you guys do when you store your race car trailer for the winter. We have a new trailer and are looking for indoor storage but, if it has to be left outside, what do you guys do to prepare it for the winter?

Park it with the wheels on one side up on lumber so water doesn't pool on the roof.

I charge and disconnect my batteries, air tires, re-pack wheel bearings so I'm good to go in the spring and place Bounce dryer sheets in several locations inside the trailer (keeps critters away) and smells a lot better than moth balls. Never had an issue yet. I do keep it inside a pole barn though to keep all the MN snow off of it.

If its going to be outside wash it real good with RV455 then regular car wash soap then wax it with a good wax. It works great for preventing Black streaks.

Talking Re: Trailer Storage

I unhook the truck so I can have a 4x4 to get me to work when it snows. winter 2004-2005 car never came out of trailer. In fact was not even unstrapped. I drained the water in the trailer thanksgiving night. I unloaded it on Thur. unbolted the rear wheels took them in & had new slicks put on...loaded the car back up & left the next morning for Farmington Div. In March
