Stock LT1 bottom end?

A friend of mine who wants to get into Stocker style LT1 engine, however he does not have the money to have a shortblock built, however he has scored a Kenny Fulk prepared set of heads and Kenny spec'd Bullet cam and FAST dfi from a lt1 stocker. His car is nearly complete and he wants to try it out

What are the rpm limits of a factory LT1 shortblock? I think he would be on borrowed time with this shortblock if he shifted in the camshafts intended rpm range am I wrong?
